Comes with AM4 Module Worth $400.00
There's always been an artistic element to electrocardiography. Clinicians augment their knowledge of the science with intuitive approaches to diagnosis and treatment.
The MAC® VU system fully meets the needs of clinicians practicing the art of electrocardiography. This top of the line system meets the needs of developing clinical or scientific EKG applications.
The Talent of a Masterpiece
The genius in this advanced system delivers the flexibility to effortlessly meet the EKG needs of any patient. Simply entering the patient's age is enough to switch between adult and pediatric criteria. A complete EKG with analysis (see inset) can be in hand just seconds after the last lead is connected. Standard vectorcardiography and a 15 lead pediatric report increase its utilization.
The versatility of the design gives it a role wherever an EKG is required. Its standard battery conveniently allows you to record EKGs without the nuisance of locating a power source. The high resolution CRT is equally effective under direct lighting or in darkened patient rooms.
Its additional capabilities sets the MAC VU system apart as a complete EKG workstation.
Options for late potential analysis, exercise testing, pharmacologic stress reports, fax transmission and modem communication give the MAC VU well rounded EKG capabilities. A variety of modem configurations give it the ability to communicate with standard fax machines, MUSE® cardiology management systems and other MAC system electrocardiographs.
An Enduring Art
Like its predecessors bearing the family name, the MAC VU system is designed to minimize obsolescence and maximize information sharing. The MAC VU system's design provides the ability to communicate with earlier MAC resting EKG and MUSE cardiology management systems.
12SL EKG Analysis Program
In its second decade, the Marquette 12SL EKG analysis program continues to evolve, using a database of clinically correlated EKGs. The result is a program of uncompromising quality and proven reliability in the collection and interpretation of EKG data. Over the years frequent testing against the data base is responsible for the gains made in rhythm, conduction, hypertrophy and infarction detection.

Digitize the signal at the patient, improve Common Mode Rejection and eliminate analog cable noise with the AM-4 acquisition module, Marquette's fourth generation of active patient cables.
The on-screen form only requires filling in blanks to complete patient information. And the interactive display lets you tailor the form to streamline operator interactions.
A Lead Check Display instantly checks the lead integrity and gives you a simultaneous real-time review of all 12 leads.
INTER-LEAD leadwire connectors goldplated contacts resist corrosion and ensure optimal signal quality. Convenient access enables you to easily switch connectors to accommodate a variety of electrodes.
Instant on-line help is available by simply pressing the Information Key.
The keyboard is liquid-tight to protect against damaging spills.
A 3.5 inch, high density, floppy disk drive is incorporated into the design for test storage. The system's capabilities can also be simply upgraded by diskette.
Simplify operation by eliminating multiple keystroke functions with the exclusive Trim Knob® control.
Remote Query Option
The Remote Query Option advances EKG transmissions into an active clinical tool. By tying into a telephone line one may request, and print, previous EKGs from any PC-based MUSE system.
1. Select a Patient
2. Select a Specific Test
3. View the Traces
4. Plot the Report
Fax Transmission Option
Using digital technology, the Fax Option transmits the EKG with greater resolution. Using convenient calibration points in place of the distorting grid, the receiving physician acquires a remarkably clean tracing for interpretation.
Modem Transmission Option
Transmitting or receiving an EKG with the Modem Option opens many possibilities. Via simple telephone line one may communicate with previous generations of similarly equipped MAC system electrocardiographs or MUSE systems.
Late Potential Analysis Option
The HI-RES signal averaging program with late potential analysis option is an easy-to-use, noninvasive, compliment to electrophysiologic studies.
Exercise Testing Option
The MAC VU system can be upgraded to a full capability exercise testing system with no compromise in performance. It delivers clean, undistorted data, and delivers a full compliment of reports.
The printer produces waveforms with high fidelity. Our Incremental Updating process offers clear data without electronic filtering. And the MAC VU system provides full storage capabilities.
Pharmacologic Report Option
The MAC VU system also adapts to allow the EKG tests needed during drug testing studies. The optional software gathers necessary data and permits adjustments of parameters as needed for testing.
The Marquette Unity Network® is our response to the critical challenge of managing patient information. The Unity icon represents more than a network. It symbolizes our commitment to integrating information and devices through-out a health care system.
